Colonial Military Lands.
In reply to your letters No. D/45/133 of the
20th. April, and 30th. May, which I regret have remained so long
without an answer, I am directed to request that the area in
question being no longer required for Military purposes should
be surrendered to this Government in accordance with paragraph 2
of the Colonial Office Circular of the 30th. December, 1894. The
lands will then be sold by this Government and the War Department
will be credited with the proceeds of the sale in the Military
Lands Account as provided in paragraph 4 of the above-mentioned
Circular.
